American Energy. American Rail.

NexGen Cryo is built on two convictions. LNG should be America’s primary energy source, and Rail should once again carry the nation’s freight.

Our Vision

Two Visions.
One Mission.

Put America’s most abundant energy to work, and help Rail win back its share of freight.

Vision for Energy

LNG as America’s Primary Energy

No. 1The U.S. is the world’s largest LNG exporter
Most BTUper dollar of any energy source
  • Abundant: decades of domestic supply, produced and used at home
  • Lowest cost: far less per BTU than diesel, the core of our Rail and Power economics
  • Cleaner and safe: lower CO₂, almost no sulfur or soot, non-toxic
Vision for Rail

Help Rail Win Back Its Share

80–85%Rail’s share of U.S. intercity freight at its 1917 peak
~28%Rail’s share of U.S. freight ton-miles today
  • ~40% lower fuel cost with the LNG Hybrid Prime Mover
  • Swap-in for the existing locomotive fleet, with lower maintenance
  • Train of the Future: faster, predictable door-to-door service
